This is useful in the context of remapping keyboard shortcuts. For some reason, lots of internet searches come up with the equivalent X-based command for locking the screen.
Thanks from me too. I have a netbook running Linux Mint 13, and when it wakes from suspend or hibernate, it's not locked. Very annoying since I teach and I'd like to be able to walk away from it for 5 minutes and not have to worry about someone accessing stuff in that period.
